Dr. Leupold graduated from Fordham University in 1963 with a BS and from Downstate Medical School in 1967. He finished his Internship in 1968 from L. A. County-USC Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. He completed his Orthopedic Residency in 1974 at Albany Medical College, and spent one year at Alfred I. DuPont Institute for Pediatric Orthopaedics (1972- 1973). Dr. Leupold was Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery in 1975. He is a member of the American academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Medical Association, NY State Society of Orthopedic Surgeons, NY State Medical Society and the Eastern Orthopedic Association. He is an attending Orthopedic Surgeon at Ellis, St. Clare's, Bellevue and Sunnyview hospitals in Schenectady, NY. Dr. Leupold is a Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopedics at Albany Medical College and is Coordinator of Orthopedic Residents at Ellis and Sunnyview Hospitals. He is former Chairman of the Medical and Dental Executive Committee at Ellis Hospital.
