JOHN SPRING, M.D.

Dr. Spring graduated from Niagara University in 1959 with a BS Cum Laude, and completed medical school at Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1962. His Internship was done at Albany Medical College. He completed his General Surgery Residency at Georgetown University in 1964 and was Assistant Orthopaedic Resident from 1964-1966 and Chief Orthopaedic Resident 1966-67 also at Georgetown. From 1967 to 1969 Dr. Spring served as an Air force Captain at Maxwell Air force Base both as an Attending and Chief of Orthopaedics. He was Board Certified as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in 1969. Dr. Spring is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, AMA, New York State Society of Orthopedic Surgeons, and the Schenectady County Medical Society. Dr. Spring is past Chief of Orthopaedics at St. Clare's Hospital and is an Attending Orthopedic Surgeon at Ellis and Sunnyview hospitals. His professional subspecialty is reconstructive surgery of arthritis including hip, knee, and shoulder arthroplasty and available for consultation and second opinion.
